Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as Prime Electrical Engineer for the SST Mission System, supporting operation of the telescope and facility.
  • •Support the Senior Electrical Engineer with sustainment of power generation, power transmission, plant equipment, radar, and control systems.
  • •Assist with complex fault rectification and electrical design to sustain the NCSHEH electrical asset performance and governance.
  • •Develop solutions meeting customer requirements within cost, schedule, and quality constraints; support defect and maintenance-related investigations.
  • •Participate in technical reviews and help plan, estimate, and schedule electrical engineering tasks, including electrical hazard risk assessments.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with at least four years of post-graduate professional engineering experience in electrical systems.
  • •Ability to resolve defects across a diverse range of electrical systems.
  • •Willingness to become and maintain Chartered Professional Engineering status via Engineers Australia.
  • •Familiarity with Australian Standard (AS) electrical standards and preferably WA legislation.
  • •Eligibility to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
