Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee EMEA VAT compliance for all legal entities and liaise with advisors as required.
  • •Provide complex VAT advice to shared services and operating divisions on legislative changes and business developments.
  • •Identify and deliver process and systems improvements/automation through special projects, including testing and rollout of new processes/systems.
  • •Oversee VAT registrations, liaise with UK and overseas tax authorities on issues or audits, and manage VAT due diligence for acquisitions/divestments and other ad hoc projects.
  • •Oversee, motivate and manage the VAT team, including people development, planning/prioritising work, performance metrics, training, recruitment participation, and maintaining internal controls and audit support.

Key Requirements

  • •6 years relevant VAT experience.
  • •Professional tax qualification (e.g. CTA) and/or accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA) preferred.
  • •Excellent knowledge of tax processes and best practice across people, processes and technology.
  • •Significant knowledge of SAP, Oracle and relevant sales order processing systems.
  • •Ability to lead, oversee, motivate and manage people in a tax environment, including training and process improvement.
