Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair vehicle equipment (including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, transmissions, differentials, and related systems).
  • •Use test instruments and road testing to identify malfunctions and apply sound judgment to determine next steps.
  • •Manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Complete DOT forms and Repair Orders (including documenting findings and uploading pictures) using company standards and device/app tools.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination of education/certification and 3–7 years experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Hold a current and valid DOT medical card (or be able to pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical).
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license; be able to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
  • •Obtain/hold required certifications: ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609 (obtained within 18 months).
