Job Summary

Senior transport planning lead responsible for directing strategy, appraisal, and business case development for a diverse project portfolio. Key Responsibilities

•Lead the preparation of transport strategies, scheme appraisal and business case development.
•Supervise work by team members, ensuring technical quality, schedule, and budget.
•Act as a trusted adviser to regional and national clients, shaping strategy and technical direction.
•Identify opportunities and lead bids; collaborate with other AECOM teams to secure multi-disciplinary commissions.
•Mentor and develop junior staff and contribute to succession planning within Birmingham office.

Key Requirements

•Experience in transport planning
•Degree in Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering, Economics, or related subject
•Chartered status or membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIHT, TPS, ICE)
•Strong track record of working within multi-disciplinary projects and delivering to DfT and Treasury guidance
•Commercial awareness and ability to demonstrate project and resource management
