Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with the Site Safety Manager and safety team to lead distribution center workplace safety initiatives and promote a culture of safety.
  • •Ensure OSHA compliance within the facility, including Powered Industrial Trucks, new-hire and ongoing safety training, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, chemical safety, and OSHA 300 logs.
  • •Act as a visual safety presence on the production floor by identifying safety risks, completing EHS audits and after-action responses, and conducting Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for routine and non-routine tasks.
  • •Assist management during accident/injury investigations and root cause analysis, and analyze safety/injury trends to develop corrective actions.
  • •Coordinate safety for contractors and visitors, support the site emergency action plan and liaison with local first responders, and promote safer forklift operations through training, observation, and coaching.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 1 year of HelloFresh production worker experience with Forklift Training, OR 3 months of Safety Internship in a distribution center environment with an associates degree in safety, OR 2 years of safety experience in a distribution center environment.
  • •Expertise in OSHA compliance, especially with powered industrial trucks and lockout/tagout, plus strain and sprain prevention.
  • •Ability to act as an on-site first responder and provide basic first aid to injured persons.
  • •Preferred Safety Certification: GSP, OHST, etc.
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google apps (Gmail, Drive, Sheets).
