Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the pricing function for Group Health, Nationwide Pet, and NSI by establishing pricing strategies and rate plan direction.
  • •Oversee development of pricing and analytical tools, including rate indications, pricing models, segmentation analyses, and profitability studies.
  • •Monitor portfolio performance and lifecycle results, assessing post-launch risk/return and recommending pricing or product actions.
  • •Partner across the organization to translate insights into action with business, finance, underwriting, actuarial, analytics, and technology leaders.
  • •Influence governance and strategic decisions by counseling leadership on growth, profitability, risk, and capital, including evaluating and mitigating related risks.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically 10+ years of related experience in pricing, actuarial, product, or advanced analytics, with prior management experience.
  • •Undergraduate studies in actuarial science, advanced analytics, business, finance, mathematics, economics, or related quantitative fields; graduate degree preferred.
  • •FSA and MAAA designations preferred.
  • •Ability to attract, hire, and develop strong talent.
  • •Strong communication skills to explain actuarial/analytical concepts and defend business cases; experience implementing advanced modeling with modern actuarial/technology tools.
