Key Responsibilities

  • •Evaluate, select, and order equipment appropriate and cost effective for product manufacturing.
  • •Oversee installation, modification, upgrades, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • •Keep current on equipment manufacturer technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
  • •Study equipment performance and reliability and establish solutions to increase uptime and address equipment problems affecting manufacturing.
  • •Provide technical support to manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations and define preventative maintenance schedules.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering field.
  • •3+ years of relevant semiconductor manufacturing experience as an Equipment Engineer working with EPI process/tool configurations and epitaxial work.
  • •Working knowledge of selective epitaxial growth and wafer preparation techniques for epitaxial growth.
  • •Experience maintaining and managing reduced-pressure EPI platforms, preferably AMAT Centura EPI platforms (including Centura EPI RP).
  • •Experience with surface analysis techniques such as XPS, AFM, XRD, AES, EBSD, or SIMS.
