Job Summary

Provide practical legal guidance for employment and privacy matters within the Canadian legal team. Advise on employee terminations, complaints, work scheduling, and privacy compliance; draft and negotiate employment/privacy documentation and contracts. Conduct legal research on employment, privacy, and artificial intelligence topics, identify legal risks, and support internal teams and external advisors/regulators. Help build scalable legal templates, processes, and policies while staying current on regulatory updates.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide practical, timely legal advice on employment issues including terminations, complaints, and work schedule tailoring.
•Advise on privacy-related matters to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
•Draft and review employment and privacy documentation (contracts, policies, notices) and support contract negotiations.
•Conduct in-depth legal research on employment, privacy, and artificial intelligence topics; analyze legal risks and assist with solutions.
•Support the Legal Team with templates, processes, and policy development; liaise with external advisors and regulatory authorities as needed.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 80,000 - 125,000

Key Requirements

•Master of Law (LLM) degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Canada.
•1–2 years as a practicing lawyer with a strong focus on employment and privacy law.
•Strong analytical abilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Detail-oriented with strong multitasking and prioritisation skills.
•Experience in employment litigation is an advantage; familiarity with multijurisdictional legal environments is a plus.
