Key Responsibilities

  • •Scale and grow the Sydney hardware organization across multiple engineering disciplines, including hiring, mentoring, and motivation.
  • •Define and implement new processes and tools to improve hardware team productivity and efficiency.
  • •Establish Sydney hardware labs for local development and testing, including site requirements, reviews, equipment and power planning, and negotiations.
  • •Drive technical direction and guidance for complex hardware bring-up, schematic/board design reviews, and cross-functional problem resolution.
  • •Coordinate with product management and vendors, translate product direction into executable system design steps, and manage priorities through prototype and manufacturing readiness.

Key Requirements

  • •BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.
  • •4+ years of management experience and 10+ years of relevant experience in networking or systems hardware design, especially Enterprise.
  • •Proven experience leading hardware engineering teams across multiple simultaneous projects.
  • •Proficiency with high layer count printed circuit boards and high-speed design, with knowledge of protocols such as Ethernet, SMBus, SPI, PCIe, PoE, PTP, and MDIO.
  • •Experience with embedded x86/ARM system design and FPGA design, including gigabit+ signaling and high-speed buses, plus regulatory compliance (or equivalent expertise).
