Job Summary

Build and evolve Netflix’s user onboarding and access management platforms within the Content Foundations Engineering team. Design and consume GraphQL and/or REST APIs, develop resilient low-latency backend services, and implement high-quality user interfaces using modern frontend architecture. Partner with design and product to deliver features end to end, participate in on-call, and lead incident reviews while improving security posture and maintainability across the stack.

•Translate business requirements into technical designs and data models for secure, scalable platforms serving the content and studio ecosystem.
•Collaborate with design, product, and engineering partners to build, test, deploy, and launch features end to end.
•Participate in on-call rotation and lead incident reviews to improve reliability.
•Drive technical conversations by clearly describing complex concepts in written and verbal communication, especially when navigating ambiguity.

Key Requirements

•Comfortable designing and consuming GraphQL and/or RESTful APIs and building resilient, high-scale, low-latency production services.
•Recent, hands-on backend experience in Java, C#, or a similar OO language, with strong OO design principles.
•Experience with microservices, data modeling, and API design, translating business requirements into technical designs and data models.
•Understanding distributed systems concepts including multithreading, parallelism, and software observability.
•Recent, hands-on experience building complex, high-quality user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS, with exposure to React and modern frontend architecture.
