•Implement microservices architecture and manage microservice applications in a Kubernetes ecosystem.
•Deploy and manage applications on AWS and Google Cloud, using Docker/Kubernetes and automated workflows to streamline development and updates.
•Handle database management, including Postgres multi-tenancy architecture and performance optimization of SQL queries.
•Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, implement gRPC/Protobuf practices for API stability and secure service-to-service communication, and collaborate with product managers, architects, designers, and QA.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Applied Computer Science plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a Backend Software Engineer or related.
•5 years building and managing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and working with Agile/Scrum processes (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives).
•Experience defining API contracts and schemas (OpenAPI and Protocol Buffers), and implementing API gateway routing, authentication, and rate limiting.
•Experience designing and normalizing relational database schemas for Postgres and MySQL, including schema migrations and versioning across environments.
•Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, AWS and Google Cloud, Terraform or CloudFormation, and implementing gRPC, Protobuf, and centralized logging with the ELK Stack.
