Job Summary

Assist asphalt paving and construction crews on job sites in a team environment. Ensure a safe work environment by following safety policies and OSHA/MSHA procedures, using required tools, equipment, and PPE. Perform duties such as shoveling, raking, leveling materials, lifting and carrying supplies, signaling equipment operators, and helping with traffic control devices. Work may include outdoor conditions, nights/weekends, overtime, and travel away from home as required.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with the paving/construction crew on site tasks including shoveling, raking, running wheelbarrows, and leveling materials.
•Signal operators of construction equipment to align and move materials.
•Follow manager directions for daily tasks and expectations at each project/job site.
•Operate small power tools as needed (e.g., jack hammer).
•Assist with the placement, moving, and dismantling of traffic control devices such as signs, barricades, and cones.
