Key Responsibilities

  • •Set the technical direction for Canva’s hybrid mobile platform architecture across React Native, iOS, and Android, deciding what’s shared vs. native.
  • •Turn the target architecture into shipped code early on, establishing foundations for performance, reliability, and observability.
  • •Deliver a React Native surface live in production within six months with stable capabilities and platform primitives for feature teams.
  • •Serve as the architectural anchor for Staff and Senior engineers during the migration, guiding difficult technical decisions.
  • •Scale adoption with major product teams by establishing patterns engineers trust and influencing mobile architecture across hundreds of frontend engineers.
