Key Responsibilities

  • •Own a service end-to-end, including defining APIs and failure behavior, planning migrations, implementing and deploying, and operating it reliably over time.
  • •Turn platform capabilities into stable reusable building blocks (e.g., model access, agent execution, authorization, queues, integrations, document processing, sandboxed compute).
  • •Make services observable and respond when they fail in production, leading incident fixes and translating issues into lasting improvements.
  • •Partner with Systems Engineers to evolve underlying mechanisms while maintaining accountability for service boundaries and lifecycle.
  • •Support production confidence through evidence-based platform changes (e.g., load testing, structured logging without PII, and safe online database changes).

Salary: EUR 90,000 - 140,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Several years of experience (typically 3 to 6) building and operating backend systems under real load.
  • •Strong in TypeScript and Node.js, with comfort working with Kubernetes, Terraform, networking, databases, and queues.
  • •Experience with Go is useful; willingness to work in Go matters.
  • •Ability to define stable service boundaries and APIs while accounting for data integrity, tenant isolation, backward compatibility, partial failure, and safe rollout.
  • •Strong platform design judgment and diagnostic approach for underspecified systems problems and unfamiliar failure modes.
