Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and own the backend platform behind Redesign’s operating system, including APIs, databases, services, resource models, migrations, and access patterns.
  • •Define the paradigm for AI-native development so agents can drive software engineering via agentic coding patterns, harness design, memory management, verification loops, and multi-agent code review.
  • •Own the developer experience for a workforce where everyone creates software, spanning infrastructure engineers, applied AI engineers, and domain experts without formal software backgrounds.
  • •Make backend primitives easy to discover, safe to extend, and hard to misuse so applications and agents can consume trusted data without bespoke plumbing.
  • •Ensure the platform is structured for agents to use safely, balancing power for senior engineers with legibility for nontraditional builders.

Key Requirements

  • •10-12+ years of engineering experience, including staff/principal-level ownership at a serious software company, anchoring technical work for a small, fast team.
  • •Shipped production backend systems in Python and/or TypeScript, with ownership of database schemas, migrations, API contracts, authentication, and permissions.
  • •Deep experience with Postgres (or similar relational databases) and building authorization/identity layers with scoped access for users, services, and agents.
  • •Built or operated agent-facing infrastructure used daily (e.g., MCP servers/tools, Claude Code/Cursor conventions, sandboxed execution, evals, usage and cost controls).
  • •AI-native proficiency with modern agent frameworks (e.g., Anthropic Agent SDK and Lang*/Deep Agents) and shipped production systems on top of them.
