Job Summary

Translate customer requirements into detailed AV system designs and documentation that enable successful project execution. Collaborate with sales and Account Managers to present solution concepts, assess risks, and create design packages used by project teams. Develop bill of materials, conceptual block diagrams, infrastructure plans, and scopes of work, while coordinating with vendors, architects, consultants, and contractors. Serve as the “design authority” during implementation with technical support.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with Account Managers to understand customer needs and translate them into functional system designs.
•Lead pre-sales design and proposal efforts, including presenting designs and demonstrating how proposed systems meet requirements.
•Develop and maintain comprehensive design standards and detailed documentation for AV systems.
•Assess project risks and incorporate site conditions, scheduling needs, and dependencies into designs.
•Support project teams during implementation as a “design authority” and provide technical input as needed.

Key Requirements

•Convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and field teams.
•Create accurate, detailed documentation (bill of materials, conceptual block diagrams, infrastructure plans, and scopes of work) with strong attention to feasibility.
•Use IP networking and AV/IT standards knowledge (including topologies and AVoIP) to assess design architecture.
•Hold at least a high school diploma/equivalent and have audio/DSP certification experience (with 2+ relevant certifications preferred).
