Job Summary

Maintain and repair ready-mix, end dump, tractors, trailers, and heavy construction equipment to keep the fleet reliable, safe, and productive. Diagnose mechanical issues, dismantle and rebuild components, and conduct inspections and parts examinations using precision instruments. Perform welding work as needed, document time/parts records accurately, and collaborate with maintenance staff while adhering to OSHA/MSHA and DOT safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on ready mix trucks, end dump trucks, tractors, trailers, and heavy construction equipment.
•Diagnose mechanical issues and analyze malfunctions to deliver effective solutions that improve equipment reliability and performance.
•Dismantle, rebuild, and maintain equipment components, including parts examinations and replacements/overhauls of major systems.
•Test, operate, and fine-tune equipment for efficiency and safety, including welding repairs/restoration when needed.
•Maintain a safe work environment, lead/mentor during shop operations as needed, and document accurate time and parts records.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or technical certification in Heavy Equipment Maintenance is a plus.
•Minimum 3–6 months of hands-on experience with heavy equipment maintenance (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
•ASE certifications and a valid CDL (A or B) preferred; clean driving record is a strong asset.
•Have basic hand tools and sockets up to 1/2 inch.
•Be 18 years or older and able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
