Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare feasibility study reports and review them with the Local CRC Head of MEP.
  • •Assemble and monitor design specifications and scope of works with the WSP Hong Kong team, ensuring delivery by due dates.
  • •Carry out detailed design aligned with WSP, Hong Kong Building Regulations, and relevant codes, including complex calculations, QA/technical review, and sign-off.
  • •Review and monitor calculations production, costing inputs, and support tender document preparation by providing documentary information to meet deadlines.
  • •Lead and project-manage commissions, manage document control/archiving and CDM/QA processes, and coach junior staff while handling day-to-day queries from the WSP HK team.

Key Requirements

  • •B.Tech/M. Tech (Mechanical) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
  • •Progress in HVAC and tunnel ventilation concept design, including zoning and regulatory QA confirmation.
  • •Preparation of IFC drawings, schedules, datasheet schematics, and P&ID, plus heat load calculations.
  • •Knowledge of software such as AutoCAD and Revit MEP, and being fully conversant with technical software like Hevacomp and HAP.
  • •Membership to an accredited engineering body (e.g., MIET, CIBSE, INSRAE, ASHRAE) and working knowledge of relevant standards/codes (e.g., ISHRAE, ASHRAE, BS, HK codes).
