Key Responsibilities

  • •Own year-end financial statements (IFRS), month-end close, and manage the external audit for the group consolidation.
  • •Prepare and maintain consolidated balance sheet and run monthly journals (accruals, prepayments, leases, recharges) including IFRS 16 lease accounting.
  • •Challenge subsidiary accounts to ensure accurate group reporting across multiple reporting entities and key markets.
  • •Manage statutory reporting and filings for UK (retail and head office) and France, including UK audit process and audit evidence.
  • •Implement internal controls and accounting policy updates, and drive finance transformation/improvement projects with overseas teams.

Key Requirements

  • •ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • •Post-qualification related work experience, ideally in retail.
  • •Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including IFRS.
  • •Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to develop relationships.
  • •Process improvement track record, with attention to detail and deadlines; French is a plus.
