Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare monthly clinical trial accruals, prepaid roll-forwards, and reconciliations in accordance with ASC 730.
  • •Support R&D expense accounting, including accruals, prepaid amortization, and cost allocations; maintain supporting schedules and documentation.
  • •Review CRO and clinical site invoices against contracted milestones and fee schedules, investigating and correcting variances.
  • •Perform month-end close activities (journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis) and investigate reporting issues to ensure GAAP compliance.
  • •Execute SOX 404(b) controls for clinical trial and R&D processes and contribute to process improvements, automation, and audit readiness.

Key Requirements

  • •2–3 years of accounting or audit experience and a public accounting/audit background (Big 4 strongly preferred).
  • •Strong technical accounting knowledge, including GAAP and ASC 730 R&D accounting.
  • •Experience supporting R&D or clinical trial accounting activities and/or life sciences accounting processes.
  • •Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and pivot tables.
  • •Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, navigate ambiguity, and communicate clearly with a high degree of accuracy.
