Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead structural design for medium to large building projects using Eurocodes and UK best practices, providing high-level technical review of calculations, drawings, and reports.
  • •Drive project delivery from concept to construction, developing scopes, programmes, and fee proposals while monitoring progress and budgets.
  • •Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams (architecture, MEP, civils) to ensure timely delivery of design information to clients and contractors.
  • •Build and maintain strong client relationships through delivery excellence, and identify opportunities to support bid development and growth of the structures team.
  • •Mentor and develop engineers and graduates within the structures group, overseeing resource planning and CPD initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • •BEng/MEng/MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering (Bachelor’s degree at minimum)
  • •Typically 15+ years of experience in building structure design and delivery
  • •Experience leading ME-based multidisciplinary building projects and client-facing roles
  • •Strong communication, stakeholder management, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • •Proficiency with structural design software (ETABS, STAAD, Robot, Tekla, RAM) and BIM tools (Revit)
