Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Product Management

Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design and implementation of production-quality Rust components for low-level, performance-sensitive GPU systems.
  • •Help make Rust a first-class engineering language across the GPU software stack, including toolchain integration, libraries, coding standards, diagnostics, testing, and deployment practices.
  • •Design and implement compiler pipelines across rustc, MIR, target-neutral IRs, MLIR dialects/transformations, LLVM IR, and AMDGPU code generation.
  • •Build GPU execution analyses and transformations for memory spaces, synchronization, capabilities, and target-specific lowering, with typed/auditable interfaces across compiler, runtime, device code, firmware, and hardware boundaries.
  • •Drive correctness validation using fuzzing, property-based testing, differential execution, executable models, and hardware validation; write design documents, lead reviews, and mentor engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong production Rust experience, including ownership/borrowing, lifetimes, traits/generics, error handling, concurrency, and FFI.
  • •Experience with low-level or constrained Rust such as no_std, embedded/firmware work, custom targets, volatile access, interrupt handling, or allocators.
  • •Strong C or C++ systems programming skills and the ability to work across mixed-language codebases.
  • •Experience with rustc internals/toolchain infrastructure and/or production compiler frameworks (LLVM/MLIR/GCC).
  • •Deep understanding of compiler correctness issues (UB, aliasing/provenance/layout, calling conventions, memory models) and GPU execution model concepts.
