Key Responsibilities

  • •Participate in ERIE’s 24-week District Sales Manager Trainee program and complete assigned projects independently.
  • •Apply product knowledge to assist operations in assigned agent offices, train agents, and gather underwriting information to support acceptance or rejection of risks.
  • •Advise clients on coverages and discuss proposed business with agents and clients.
  • •Accompany sales leaders, claims, and underwriting personnel on agent visitations and develop productive working relationships with agents.
  • •Serve as a company representative by maintaining policyholder relationships, supporting claims inquiries, and implementing sales promotion programs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree required (or associate’s degree plus two years of sales, underwriting, claims, or marketing experience; or high school/GED plus four years of related experience).
  • •Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • •Willingness to relocate to an assigned territory and reside within it.
  • •Willingness to pursue insurance designations and successfully complete Life and Property/Casualty licensing exams.
  • •Valid driver’s license and good driving record; frequent travel required.
