Key Responsibilities

  • •Apply advanced GAAP/STAT knowledge to complex accounting transactions and advise on regulatory accounting implications.
  • •Resolve accounting issues, provide recommendations to leadership, and perform financial accounting advisory work for operational business leaders.
  • •Lead special financial accounting projects and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate completion.
  • •Develop and maintain financial accounting processes, procedures, and tools, including internal controls and control effectiveness reviews.
  • •Review team members’ work, provide guidance and coaching, and proactively report and analyze risks for effective decision-making.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; OR an unrelated bachelor’s degree plus a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
  • •6 years of relevant work experience performing accounting functions such as preparing/reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations, and preparing financial results.
  • •Advanced knowledge and application of GAAP and STAT or regulatory accounting practices.
  • •Experience with SOX controls, including control execution, documentation, testing, and issue remediation.
  • •Experience supporting financial system implementations and change requests, including requirement documentation through user acceptance testing and issue resolution.
