Job Summary

Drive end-to-end reliability for autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) platforms, partnering across mechanical, electrical, software, manufacturing, quality, test operations, and field service teams. Lead FMEA/FTA efforts, perform predictive reliability analysis (including Weibull), and develop qualification and validation test plans. Conduct root-cause failure investigations and close the loop with corrective actions, while building standardized reliability processes, tools, and infrastructure to improve production-ready performance.

Key Responsibilities

•Support and review system block diagrams, interface control documents, and schematics for compliance, redundancy, and accuracy to requirements and concept of operations.
•Lead FMEA and Fault Tree Analysis efforts with cross-functional teams to implement design improvements.
•Perform predictive reliability analysis (including probability of loss of control/loss of asset) and compute MTTF/MTBF using requirements and industry standards.
•Develop and execute qualification and validation test plans, including environmental, life/limit, and accelerated testing, to de-risk production readiness.
•Lead failure investigations and drive corrective/preventative actions to closure; develop reliability processes, tools, and infrastructure to streamline design, manufacturing, and deployment operations.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience as a Reliability Engineer (or Design/Development, Process, Automation, Industrial, or Test Engineer).
•B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
•Experience with safety-critical hardware and software in defense or aerospace, with a preference for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles.
•Familiarity with relevant military standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810, MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-516C, MIL-STD-1629).
•Expertise in reliability analysis techniques including FMEA/FMECA, predictive modeling, Weibull analysis, and Fault Tree Analysis.
