Job Summary

Support the U.S. Coast Guard Software Yard by enforcing enterprise cybersecurity standards across software product teams throughout the continuous delivery lifecycle. Serve as a primary technical resource for architectural coherence and long-term security sustainability, embedding security practices into modern delivery models. Conduct vulnerability monitoring, testing, and risk assessments; oversee remediation with engineering teams; audit backlogs and release plans for compliance; and maintain security documentation and guidance to respond to emerging digital mission threats.

Key Responsibilities

•Enforce federal security standards, government compliance baselines, and DISA STIGs across software product teams and continuous delivery workflows.
•Conduct proactive vulnerability monitoring, security testing, and risk assessments to support modernization and reduce technical debt.
•Collaborate with government technical leadership and vendor-heavy product teams to ensure delivered capabilities follow cybersecurity engineering approaches.
•Provide vulnerability remediation oversight and coordinate with engineering teams to fix security gaps, software bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
•Audit and validate product backlogs and release plans to ensure security requirements are incorporated, traced, and prioritized, while maintaining cybersecurity documentation and guidance.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 112,000 - 142,000 annually

Key Requirements

•DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security).
•9+ years of cybersecurity analysis experience in application security, software assurance, or cloud security within a federal environment.
•Experience analyzing and remediating vulnerabilities identified by automated scanning tools within CI/CD software delivery models.
•Operational understanding of DISA STIGs, NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), and federal authorization boundaries.
•Embed security requirements into Agile engineering frameworks, product backlogs, and rapid release environments while tracking cyber risks using enterprise tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Tenable Security Center, ServiceNow).
