Job Summary

Safely and efficiently transport heavy equipment between company poultry farms, truck shops, and processing plants for preventative maintenance. Operate and maintain commercial hauling equipment, follow delivery schedules, and ensure accurate documentation and clear communication with live haul personnel, live production teams, and farm staff. Adhere to transportation regulations, biosecurity protocols, and company safety/quality standards, including inspections, housekeeping, and PPE.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
•Conduct equipment inspections per company guidelines and report issues to the supervisor.
•Operate trucks in a manner that maintains product quality and integrity.
•Communicate effectively with associates, maintenance staff, growers, and supervisors about farm conditions and relevant information.
•Maintain equipment and work areas clean, perform fueling and dropping/hooking as needed, and follow housekeeping schedules using required PPE.

Key Requirements

•12 months of verifiable tractor/trailer experience within the previous 36 months.
•If the driver has a positive test for drugs or alcohol in the previous 5 years, they are not eligible.
•Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal directions.
•Ability to drive a truck safely with a working knowledge of driving and traffic rules.
•Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more and operate a manual CMV.
