Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of Billable Works projects while managing and developing a team of Project Managers.
  • •Oversee planning, coordination, and delivery of the regional programme, ensuring statutory, MOD, and VIVO health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • •Manage project performance, budgets, forecasting, and reporting; resolve challenges and ensure documentation is accurate and maintained.
  • •Oversee contractor performance, including CDM responsibilities, RAMS, site inspections, inductions, and safe systems of work.
  • •Act as a trusted advisor to Defence stakeholders and customers to align projects with operational priorities and embed sustainable solutions supporting Net Zero targets.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience managing construction, infrastructure, or facilities management projects with a proven track record delivering against KPIs, budgets, and timescales.
  • •Experience leading operational teams and developing people, including mentoring and performance development.
  • •Strong capability managing project budgets and forecasting costs, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with CDM and health and safety regulations.
  • •Commercially aware, solutions-focused decision-making that balances operational priorities, customer expectations, and value for money.
  • •An HND (or equivalent) in Building, Civil Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related) plus a management-level Health & Safety qualification such as SMSTS; strong Microsoft Office skills.
