Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare and maintain immersive simulation equipment, media, computers, and materials for all users.
  • •Provide technical operational support to ensure immersive simulation systems and related equipment run properly.
  • •Assist learners and the Immersive Simulation Facilitator with simulation work and lab preparation.
  • •Collaborate with the Director of Lab to maintain inventory of supplies and equipment; assist with props placement and moulage set-up.
  • •Assist with development of scenarios used for simulation experiences and support faculty using the simulation equipment.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have a granted diploma or certification relative to background experience (e.g., medical assistant diploma).
  • •Two or more years of patient care experience in roles such as Paramedic, Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Respiratory Therapist, LPN, RN, Simulation Technician, or other licensed healthcare provider.
  • •Two years related experience in a clinical healthcare setting.
  • •Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, pharmacology, and equipment.
  • •Occasional weekend and/or evening coverage as needed; provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s doctrinal and mission statements.
