Job Summary

Lead and deliver structural drafting tasks within EPCI projects, supervising a team of drafters to produce accurate 3D models and shop drawings. You’ll interpret complex engineering drawings, ensure compliance with API/AISC/ACI/ASCE standards, and collaborate with engineers, project managers, and procurement to keep fabrication and installation on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

•Supervise and oversee a team of structural drafters to ensure accurate and timely completion of fabrication projects in the EPCI industry
•Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and client requirements to guide the team in creating detailed structural design drawings
•Collaborate with engineering, project management, and other stakeholders to align drafting activities with project objectives
•Perform quality control checks to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations across drawings and layouts
•Mentor and coach team members, providing technical guidance and training to improve skills and productivity

Key Requirements

•Minimum High School Diploma, with a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience; or 7 years of experience as a Structural Drafter in the EPCI industry
•Strong proficiency in 3D Tekla and 2D AutoCAD/Microstation drafting, modeling and drawing extraction
•Extensive knowledge of structural design codes/standards (API, AISC, ACI, ASCE)
•Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements
•Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders
