Key Responsibilities

  • •Design validation strategies for advanced nonlinear simulation capabilities, including contact, large deformation, material nonlinearity, nonlinear dynamics, and coupled thermal-mechanical workflows.
  • •Translate demanding industrial applications into practical high-fidelity benchmark models (e.g., elastomer sealing, composite damage/failure, complex contact).
  • •Validate solver behavior using analytical checks, simplified hand calculations, and comparisons with trusted references.
  • •Build and automate test cases for Nastran and Marc to repeatedly validate complex physics with clear quality metrics.
  • •Partner with developers, product teams, and QA to identify gaps, isolate issues, improve testability, and support reliable software releases; publish validation reports and recommendations.

Key Requirements

  • •Ph.D. in Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Applied Mechanics, or a closely related field.
  • •3+ years of CAE/FEA experience with strong nonlinear statics and dynamics exposure.
  • •Deep understanding of nonlinear finite element analysis, including geometric, material, and contact nonlinearities.
  • •Hands-on experience with meshing, model idealization, boundary conditions, convergence behavior, and nonlinear post-processing.
  • •Experience using Python scripting, with additional AI skills.
