Job Summary

Design and implement passive infrastructure for enterprise information networks supporting the DISA J6 ETM-NG program across the Pentagon, Mark Center, and nearby National Capital Region government buildings. Own capacity analysis and installation planning, establish installation standards, collaborate with inside/outside plant SMEs and RCDD roles, and maintain inside-plant cable infrastructure (conduit, trays, copper, coax, fiber). Create engineering installation plans and best-practice procedures required for cable rack installation and testing.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and implement passive infrastructure to support information networks, including analysis and planning for network infrastructure capacity needs.
•Establish and enforce installation standards across Operations and Projects disciplines.
•Collaborate with inside plant SMEs, outside plant SMEs, and RCDD partners to maintain a consistent design strategy.
•Maintain inside plant cable infrastructure (conduit, cable trays, copper, coax, fiber, and related elements) across Pentagon/Mark Center/NCR buildings supported by JSP.
•Develop engineering installation plans (EIPs) and procedures/standards for installing cable racks, wiring, and required testing during installation.

Travel: Medium travel

Salary: USD 144,500 - 195,500 annually

Key Requirements

•Active Secret security clearance (must currently possess).
•Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.
•5+ years developing layout and design for technology systems including voice, data, and structured cabling.
•Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems (installation and basic design) plus BICSI rules, NEC, IEEE, EIA, and TIA standards/codes.
•Ability to communicate effectively across expertise levels, with strong problem analysis, attention to detail, and accuracy.
