Associate Civil Engineer for WSP’s Mine Waste East Team in Florida. Contributes to civil, water resources and geotechnical projects in mining, heavy civil and environmental contexts. Performs data collection and analysis, assists with surface water management and design, prepares drawings and specifications, and participates in field investigations and team-based project execution to deliver environmental and geotechnical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

•Work within our Mine Waste team on civil, water, and geotechnical engineering projects for the mining industry
•Collect, identify, and compile environmental data from samples of water, sludge, and other matrices for projects, investigations, and surveys
•Assist with surface water management analysis and facility design
•Perform water resources engineering work and assist with related investigations
•Assisting with the preparation of project design packages including technical drawings, specifications, project schedules, and cost estimates

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources or Geotechnical engineering with a focus in Water Resources or closely related discipline
•1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience
•Engineer in Training Certification preferred
•Knowledge of water resource engineering principles, practices, processes, design/build, and environmental permitting
•Ability to coordinate with agency regulators and work independently and as part of a team
