Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide child and youth behavioral (CYB) counseling services to eligible children and youth at assigned primary and secondary locations on the installation.
  • •Deliver non-medical short-term solution-focused counseling, including assessment, brief counseling and consultation, action planning, referrals, and follow-up.
  • •Support child development center staff and personnel, provide parent support, training, and guidance, and provide training/health and wellness presentations.
  • •Enter counselor activity data daily via smart phone or web application to support accurate reporting while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity.
  • •Coordinate with points of contact and supervisors, manage duty-to-warn and restricted reporting situations per DoD protocol, and participate in supervision, in-services/training, and quality improvement activities.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 59,922 - 100,280 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree from an accredited program in a mental health-related field.
  • •Valid unrestricted independent counseling license (e.g., LPC/LMHC, LMFT, LCSW or equivalent independent licensure).
  • •Less than 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience.
  • •Demonstrate intermediate-level competency with technology and software (Microsoft Suite, internet navigation, smartphone/tablet and application navigation, video-conferencing platform navigation).
  • •Ability to prove US citizenship, be fluent in English, and pass a CNACI clearance and installation records/criminal history/FBI fingerprint checks.
