Job Summary

Manufacturing Engineer II on the second shift at our Melbourne, FL facility will diagnose and resolve daily manufacturing problems in design, process, and supplier areas for high-quality electronic assemblies. You’ll apply LEAN principles to improve test yields, throughput, equipment uptime, and overall production efficiency, while supporting test process development, equipment improvements, and production readiness for new designs.

Key Responsibilities

•Participate in cross-functional team efforts to improve test yields, production throughput, test capacity, and overall product quality.
•Identify component test failure trends and perform root cause analysis; prepare failure analysis reports for production.
•Study performance and reliability of existing test equipment and establish programs to decrease downtime.
•Analyze test approaches, plans, and processes for cost reduction, test efficiency, yields, and capacity opportunities.
•Provide capacity planning and utilization analysis for staffing and test equipment needs; identify new test approaches to minimize staffing and capital requirements.

Key Requirements

•University degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or Advanced Degree in a related field or 6 years of relevant experience in absence of degree
•2+ years of experience as a manufacturing engineer in Electronics Manufacturing industry with Product Testing focus
•Statistics experience (Parametric Process control and versed in implementation)
•Six sigma control methods exposure/experience
•BS in Electrical Engineering (preferred) and ability to interpret Six Sigma control methods
