Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as incident commander with final decision authority, directing engineering teams, authorizing rollbacks, and commanding regional failovers.
  • •Rapidly assess incidents by reading Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), Kubernetes manifests, and CI/CD configurations.
  • •Provide final authorization for critical production actions and emergency changes, serving as a primary technical escalation point.
  • •Proactively improve site resilience by identifying cloud and on-prem vulnerabilities, reviewing IaC reliability risks, and enhancing disaster recovery readiness.
  • •Lead postmortems and continuous improvement by driving standardized playbooks, automated workflows, and observability/monitoring enhancements.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education/experience).
  • •Significant hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS or GCP required; multi-cloud preferred).
  • •Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or equivalent), including troubleshooting configurations during incidents.
  • •Significant hands-on experience with Kubernetes and CNCF ecosystem tools, including troubleshooting deployments, manifests, and cluster issues.
  • •Professional-level cloud certification (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, or equivalent) plus monitoring/observability experience (Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
