Job Summary

Own and evolve TikTok’s Behavioral Health & Regulated Content (BHRC) policies to protect users while balancing free expression and responsible growth. Partner with Trust & Safety policy enforcement, regional policy, product, monetization, commerce, legal, and public policy teams to define policy boundaries, ensure regulatory compliance, and respond to emerging BHRC issues. Serve as a BHRC subject-matter expert, engage external stakeholders, and support strategy execution through policy iteration and training.

Key Responsibilities

•Craft and update content policies across the BHRC portfolio, including high-risk and regulated activities, nudity and sexual activities, mental health, and youth safety.
•Collaborate with Policy Enforcement, Regional Policy, and Product teams to improve policies and streamline enforcement and processes.
•Partner with Monetization and Commerce teams to define BHRC policy boundaries for advertising, branded content, and creator monetization.
•Work with Legal and Public Policy teams to ensure compliance with key regulations and advise on potential new regulations or government requests.
•Stay current on BHRC industry trends and serve as a BHRC subject-matter expert, engaging internal and external stakeholders to inform policy positions.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, public policy, human rights, media, law, academia, or a related field.
•Knowledge of areas such as mature content, regulated goods and services, frauds and scams, behavioral/mental health content, and child/youth protection frameworks.
•Excellent writing and communication skills to synthesize complex topics into clear materials.
•Deep understanding of technology, the Internet, social media, and/or platform content issues.
•Ability to think strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment.
