Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead on the quality of teaching and learning across the Primary school and support school-wide improvement initiatives.
  • •Provide coaching, mentoring, and tailored professional development for teachers, including demonstration lessons and team teaching.
  • •Review planning, teaching methods, and assessment approaches to ensure inclusive and effective provision for all learners.
  • •Lead on observation cycles, learning walks, planning reviews, and work scrutiny to monitor progress and drive improvement.
  • •Manage allocated budget areas and resources related to teaching and learning priorities; coordinate policy implementation and cross-team communication.

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent; significant experience in a Primary setting with demonstrable leadership impact
  • •Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum and current pedagogical research
  • •Proven ability to improve teaching quality and student outcomes; excellent coaching and leadership skills
  • •Experience in leading observation cycles, professional development, and school improvement initiatives
