Key Responsibilities

  • •Own alignment between didactic/lab coursework and clinical rotations, sequencing clinical objectives and evaluating correlation each term.
  • •Build and qualify the clinical site network, including pre-placement evaluations, accreditor recognition, clinical affiliation agreements, and preceptor designation.
  • •Run clinical placement and scheduling with required procedure equity, student-to-clinical-staff ratio, daily hour caps, and site orientation; coordinate MRI safety screening.
  • •Enforce supervision and radiation safety, distribute radiation exposure reports, and manage direct/indirect supervision based on competency and repeats.
  • •Develop and support clinical preceptors and students by training preceptors, tracking competency and hours, advising students with documented remediation plans, and contributing accreditation evidence.

Key Requirements

  • •Current ARRT R.T.(R) certification and current Texas GMRT certificate from the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology.
  • •Minimum two years of clinical experience in radiography.
  • •Minimum one year of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program.
  • •Bachelor's degree or higher from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or CHEA.
  • •Proficiency in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising, plus working knowledge of JRCERT Standards (or willingness to learn).
