Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the senior BASIS authority on the migration program, owning BASIS system architecture, sizing, and configuration decisions.
  • •Perform core BASIS administration including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, transport management, and performance tuning.
  • •Lead technical planning and execution of system copies, migrations, and cutover activities for ECC moving to Azure.
  • •Review and validate Azure infrastructure proposals (VM sizing, storage, networking) against SAP BASIS requirements and SAP-certified standards.
  • •Support HANA installation and verification/recommendations for HANA-on-Azure setup; troubleshoot complex issues and document architecture decisions and migration runbooks while coordinating with security, network, and application teams.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of hands-on SAP BASIS experience with architecture-level ownership (not just operations administration).
  • •3+ years of working knowledge of Azure infrastructure concepts relevant to SAP, sufficient to validate/challenge architect recommendations.
  • •2+ years of SAP HANA knowledge to support installation and participate in verification/recommendation for HANA on Azure.
  • •Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across BASIS, OS, database, and infrastructure layers.
  • •Document and communicate BASIS architecture decisions, configurations, and migration runbooks.
