Job Summary

Lead the planning, design, coordination, and construction of airport infrastructure projects, serving as a technical subject matter expert within AECOM’s civil aviation practice. Collaborate with the East Region Aviation team and support national efforts as needed. Serve as a Client Account Manager to cultivate client relationships and drive business development, while mentoring staff, resolving complex technical challenges, and ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality.

•Manage design efforts for airport development projects, including airfield and terminal-related facilities.
•Provide technical leadership as a subject matter expert and resolve complex technical challenges with independent engineering decisions.
•Plan and oversee design activities such as airfield layout, site grading, drainage, pavement design, and stormwater management.
•Mentor and develop staff, creating an environment that encourages teamwork, initiative, and growth.
•Develop strategy, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, execute projects, and coordinate with clients, agencies, FAA, and other stakeholders.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 170,000 - 220,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering (or related engineering) and 10 years of related civil experience (or equivalent).
•10+ years of project management and leading teams in the aviation market sector.
•US Citizenship required due to the projects associated with this position.
•Valid US Driver’s License required; must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
•Experience in airport or airfield civil engineering design and a solid understanding of FAA standards.
