Key Responsibilities

  • •Analyze radar instrument requirements including operating modes, functions, control sequences, and real-time timing.
  • •Define the radar instrument functional architecture and functional requirements for units/modules.
  • •Contribute to requirement specifications for radar instrument software and define requirements for FPGA firmware.
  • •Define the functional verification strategy at instrument level.
  • •Develop nominal and contingency operational procedures and support R&D planning and design reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a similar field.
  • •Experience steering/controlling radar instruments (real-time control) is desirable.
  • •Knowledge of functional process architecture and radar command & control and telemetry interfaces (or similar complex electrical systems) is desirable.
  • •Experience with modeling and simulation tools (e.g., Matlab / Python) is an asset.
  • •Experience with ECSS communication and interface standards and radar payload experience are assets.
