Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical leadership for metallurgical laboratory activities, including materials characterization, weld evaluation, and thermal processing analysis.
  • •Process and evaluate metallurgical samples (cutting, mounting, polishing, etching, and examination) for steel, titanium, aluminum, and other alloys.
  • •Evaluate weldments and thermal processing samples for development, qualification, certification, periodic checks, and product conformance.
  • •Interpret engineering drawings and material specifications and establish evaluation/acceptance criteria in line with internal requirements, customer needs, and applicable standards.
  • •Author technical reports and maintain records/objective evidence, coordinate external labs for outsourced testing, and support NADCAP accreditation through maintained procedures and safety practices.

Key Requirements

  • •STEM degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
