Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and own the finance function end-to-end, reporting to the CEO and partnering with engineering on cost.
  • •Drive controllership: monthly close in under 15 days, revenue recognition, statutory audit, AR and collections.
  • •Run multi-entity finance across US and India: intercompany, transfer pricing, and consolidation.
  • •Own compliance and filings including GST, TDS, ROC/MCA, FEMA and RBI, plus ESOP administration and perquisite tax.
  • •Engineer gross margin and FP&A: infra spend/cost per ingested GB, annual operating plan, rolling forecast, MIS, and cash/treasury planning while moving off spreadsheets with ERP and internal controls.

Key Requirements

  • •CA with 8–12 years post-qualification.
  • •Personally owned a monthly close and a statutory audit (not just supervised).
  • •Built a financial model from operating drivers and can discuss what you learned.
  • •Fluency in Indian startup compliance: GST, TDS, ROC, FEMA, and ESOP taxation.
  • •Comfortable working with messy, incomplete data and shipping defensible answers quickly.
