Job Summary

Support Boeing and legacy McDonnell Douglas commercial airplane tooling for out-of-production spare parts. Partner with senior tool engineers to develop tooling strategy for storage, disposition, and tooling data management in PLM. Assist internal/external suppliers with fabrication questions, process quote backup sheets, evaluate tool drawings/CAD models using GD&T, and apply manufacturing process knowledge to support supply chain needs. Work 100% onsite in Seal Beach, CA.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist internal/external suppliers and customers with tooling-related fabrication questions.
•Process quote backup sheets with required tooling and technical data to support procurement for out-of-production product lines.
•Review engineering/tooling drawings and CAD models to understand tool geometry and complexity using Cartesian coordinate system and GD&T.
•Apply manufacturing process knowledge (casting, machining, forging, sheet metal fabrication, tube bending, welding, molding, composite layup, assembly) to support supply chain.
•Execute periodic tool inspections and audits and manage tool data in PLM.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a directly related non-US equivalent qualification.
•1+ years of experience working in an engineering discipline.
•1+ years of experience in a tool/equipment engineering or tool manufacturing environment.
•1+ years of experience using multiple CAD and/or CAM applications (e.g., Mastercam, Catia V5, Unigraphics).
