Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections, including follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment across electrical, brake/cooling, air conditioning, steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related systems.
  • •Inspect, test, and use tools/instruments to diagnose malfunctions, and road test vehicles to confirm correct operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and maintain equipment on a company-issued service truck, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair documentation on repair orders using an iOS device and the TRAIT application, including uploading photos of work performed and findings.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3+ years of experience in a related field (or alternative equivalent education/certification or 5+ years experience).
  • •Obtain and maintain a current and valid DOT medical card (or pass a DOT physical if required).
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Have a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Hold a valid driver’s license and be able to maintain the Driver Qualification File; must be at least 21 years or older.
