Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute CPD processes and procedures to support compliance for the Bank’s France activities.
  • •Ensure regular recording and tracking of communications with regulators including the AMF, ACPR, and Banque de France.
  • •Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly reports for local and European management, including Key Risk Indicators and committee materials.
  • •Support regulatory watch activities by reviewing monthly alerts, assessing applicability to SMBC EU Paris activities, and contributing to implementation of new regulations.
  • •Assist compliance advisory work such as reviewing marketing materials, supporting monthly/quarterly controls for personal account dealing and conflicts of interest, and contributing to product reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •Assist the Regulatory Compliance team by executing CPD processes and procedures to support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal rules.
  • •Understand and apply French and European regulatory frameworks, with familiarity such as MiFID/EMIR as a plus.
  • •Demonstrate proficiency with standard IT tools, including the Microsoft Office suite, to prepare and manage compliance materials.
  • •Maintain strong written and oral communication skills to exchange in English with CPD colleagues and some front office employees.
  • •Work in a team-oriented, proactive way with attention to detail and organized execution of tasks and reporting.
