Key Responsibilities

  • •Understand the cokemaking process, including raw material receipt/conversion, byproduct treatment/capture, and product delivery to customers.
  • •Apply engineering principles to critical equipment and unit operations to support ongoing operations.
  • •Develop project scope and budgets, coordinating with consultants and/or outside engineering firms as needed.
  • •Document process changes and equipment repairs affecting plant operations and maintenance for startup and reference.
  • •Coordinate with onsite lab personnel to monitor raw materials, product quality, and process fluids; support troubleshooting and customer communications.

Key Requirements

  • •BS degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited university.
  • •At least one year of related engineering experience, preferably in a coke plant, chemical or petrochemical manufacturing facility, or other heavy industrial setting.
  • •Strong communication skills, including ability to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • •Experience implementing process safety management (PSM) practices.
  • •Experience with data historian (e.g., AVEVA PI) and CMMS software (e.g., Maximo).
