Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the Chief Engineer and 2nd Engineer in the safe and efficient operation of all machinery onboard the dredger.
  • •Perform engine-room watchkeeping and monitor main engines, generators, and auxiliary machinery.
  • •Operate and maintain pumps, compressors, purifiers, boilers, and other engine-room equipment.
  • •Support troubleshooting, repairs, and overhauls of engines and auxiliary machinery.
  • •Maintain engine-room logs, checklists, maintenance records, and defect reports; participate in emergency drills.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in marine/mechanical engineering.
  • •5 years of experience on marine vessels, preferably onboard a dredger.
  • •Experience operating and maintaining engine-room equipment and systems onboard a dredger.
  • •Knowledge of and ability to comply with ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, Class, Flag State, and company HSE requirements.
  • •Ability to perform troubleshooting, repairs, overhauls, and preventive maintenance while maintaining accurate logs and defect reports.
