Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as strategic advisor on personnel matters to county commissioners, department heads, and elected officials.
  • •Lead compliance, policy updates, and record management for labor regulations, HRIS data, and confidential testing files.
  • •Oversee full-lifecycle recruitment, pre-employment vetting (background checks, drug screenings), and onboarding/retention programs.
  • •Manage employee relations activities including grievances, workplace complaints, ULP claims, disciplinary proceedings, PIPs, and terminations.
  • •Direct benefits and operations, including open enrollment, offboarding coordination, and annual salary/benefit projections for the Board of Commissioners.

Salary: USD 82,947 - 131,109 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • •8+ years of progressive HR management experience (public or private sector).
  • •Strong technical knowledge of public-sector employment regulations (FMLA, ADA, FLSA), HRIS, and labor negotiations.
  • •HRCI (PHR/SPHR) or SHRM (SHRM-CP/SCP) certification strongly preferred.
  • •Valid driver's license and the ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening.
